Michaela is an all-analogue photographer working with 35mm, medium format and super-8 cameras. Her fine art portfolio re-imagines embodied and sensorial relationship to nature, through the lens of the female gaze. She is endlessly fascinated by photography’s ability to alchemise light into myth and story, and reflect an alternative magical realism.

As well as her personal work, Michaela has worked on a multitude of commissions and collaborative projects; from portraits to album covers, photo books, fashion and craft shoots and super-8 film.

Michaela is currently based in Melbourne, Australia.
